First, I'd like to remind you that the Torah is of Divine Origin.
Disobeying the direct orders of your genocidal maniac God
merely brings about swift and bloody Divine Retribution.
I read somewhere that there are some 613 laws to follow, and they are
not presented as a smorgasbord, but as a unified whole. Imagine
picking and choosing which civil laws we should obey.
The moment you disagree with a single instruction of the Bible (such as the command to kill any bride who is not a virgin, or any child who disrespects his parents) then you acknowledge that there exists a superior standard by which to judge moral action, and there is no need to rely on a bunch of primitive, ancient, barbaric fairy tales.
He that smiteth his father, or his mother, shall be surely put to death.
He that curseth his father, or his mother, shall surely be put to death.
For every one that curseth his father or his mother shall be surely put
to death: he hath cursed his father or his mother; his blood shall be
upon him.
They shall say to the elders of his city, 'This son of ours is stubborn and
rebellious, he will not obey us, he is a glutton and a drunkard. Then all
the men of his city shall stone him to death; so you shall remove the evil
from your midst, and all Israel will hear of it and fear.
If there is a man who commits adultery with another man's wife, one who
commits adultery with his friend's wife, the adulterer and the adulteress
shall surely be put to death.
If a man is found lying with a married woman, then both of them shall die,
the man who lay with the woman, and the woman; thus you shall purge the
evil from Israel.
For six days work may be done, but on the seventh day you shall have
a holy day, a sabbath of complete rest to the LORD; whoever does any
work on it shall be put to death. You shall not kindle a fire in any
of your dwellings on the sabbath day.
As for your male and female slaves whom you may have-- you may acquire
male and female slaves from the pagan nations that are around you. Then,
too, it is out of the sons of the sojourners who live as aliens among you
that you may gain acquisition, and out of their families who are with you,
whom they will have produced in your land; they also may become your
possession. You may even bequeath them to your sons after you, to receive
as a possession; you can use them as permanent slaves. But in respect to
your countrymen, the sons of Israel, you shall not rule with severity over
one another
If a man sells his daughter as a female slave, she is not to go free as
the male slaves do. If she is displeasing in the eyes of her master who
designated her for himself, then he shall let her be redeemed. He does
not have authority to sell her to a foreign people because of his
unfairness to her.
And in the eighth day the flesh of his foreskin shall be circumcised.
The land must not be sold permanently, because the land is mine and you are
but aliens and my tenants. Throughout the country that you hold as a
possession, you must provide for the redemption of the land.
The next day the older daughter said to the younger, "Last night I lay
with my father. Let's get him to drink wine again tonight, and you go
in and lie with him so we can preserve our family line through our father."
You shall not intermarry with them; you shall not give your daughter to
his son, and you shall not take his daughter for your son, for he will
cause your child to turn away from after Me and they will worship the gods
of others.
And you shall eat the flesh of your sons, and the flesh of your daughters shall you eat.
"If your very own brother, or your son or daughter, or the
wife you love, or your closest friend secretly entices you,
saying, "Let us go and worship other gods" (gods that neither
you nor your fathers have known, gods of the peoples around
you, whether near or far, from one end of the land to the
other), do not yield to him or listen to him. Show him
no pity. Do not spare him or shield him. You must certainly
put him to death. Your hand must be the first in putting him
to death, and then the hands of all the people. Stone him
to death, because he tried to turn you away from the LORD
your God, who brought you out of Egypt, out of the land
of slavery. Then all Israel will hear and be afraid, and
no one among you will do such an evil thing again."
