Monotheistic religion creates intolerance because it always has a jealous God, although the concept of a jealous god seems to be an oxymoron within the context of monotheism. A god who created everything cannot be jealous. Only through the mental virus of religion can you have identical twins willing to kill each other in the name of their different Gods. Isn't that the ultimate in discrimination. Different religions even have different names for their places of worship of their false gods. The jews have their temples and synagogues. The christians have their churches and cathedrals. The mormons have their stakes and temples. The muslims have their mosques. The sikhs have their gurdwara (doorway to God). Different religions have different holidays to celebrate their false gods. The jews have Yon Kippur. The christians have christmas, All Saints Day, Easter, and Halloween If they all had the same God, wouldn't they all have the same religious holidays.
