Genesis and Creation is one of the
two the main pillars of religion.
The other main pillar of religion is the concept of everlasting life either in Heaven or Hell. What existed before anything was created? The big void? What did the big void exist in? Who created God the Creator?
The Jewish calendar states.... As of 2010 AD, creation date was 5771 years ago. Creation date: 3761 BC In 1650, the Reverend James Ussher, archbishop of Armagh calculated the date of creation as 9 AM on October 23 in the year 4004 BC. I would love to see the begats calculations. The best place to examine Genesis in the Bible is the web site http://skepticsannotatedbible.com These people have spent a great deal of effort in making sense out of nonsense.
Did Adam and Eve have belly buttons?
Adam and Eve have children. It would seem that incest was rampant amongst Adam and Eve's children. It's also possible that Eve herself bore some of her own grandchildren. Given what we know about our Universe and the speed of light, the Bible tells us (actually infers it), that warp speed (faster than light) is possible. If creation ocurred 6,500 years ago and some galaxies are millions of light years away, then they must have really moved rather quickly on creation date. This brings into question as to why we have a public education system to educate these people. I believe that religious zealots should be excluded from getting a public education. Every village has the lighter of the light (the teacher), and the extinguisher of the light (the clergy). Strangely enough, religious zealots feel insulted and "dehumanized" when scientists say that people evolved from lesser life forms, but they have no problem with the Biblical claim that they were created from dirt. If you read Genesis 1-31, you discover that God created the Heavens and the Earth in total darkness. Then he created light. On the third day, he creates plants and trees, but it seems that he creates the Sun, moon and stars on the fourth day.
And God made two great lights; the greater light to rule the day, and
the lesser light to rule the night: [he made] the stars also.
These morons couldn't even tell the difference between real light and reflected light. They also did not understand what stars were or how many there really were. Our sun, one of untold trillions of stars. constitutes 99.5% of the mass of our solar system. In reality, most people believe in Creationism or Genesis simply because it is easier to read one easy book, than a bunch of hard ones.
Why did this omnipotent god limit his perfect creation?
Perhaps, your god is phony baloney?
