People are too scared to stop believing

The fear of imagining there’s nothing after death and the very fear of what their god will do to them in the afterlife. I can understand it’s hard to let go of something that they believed their whole life and a belief coming from their parents.

This is why I don’t argue with believers, they’re too attached to the illusion that they can only realize for themselves if they ever get to decide to think outside the box. And I can get it’s also a sweet comfort zone believing that they have someone aware of them listening to them problems and they’ll be rewarded with a paradise for being good, but faith is just a positive feeling and it automatically makes them feel so good and god feeling so real because of how much they’re feeding their mind with this.

What makes me angry about religion is that the free will of murderer is more important than the victim, tell any believer this and they will justify it, that it happened for a reason or that god works in mysterious ways. How is anything free will, including not believing when there are endless consequences at the end?
